Columbian School is located at 330 South 127 Street in Omaha. Students are served in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. 

While valuing and maintaining traditional approaches to instruction, the academic program for students is greatly enhanced with the incorporation of computer technology and enrichment activities. 

The cooperative partnerships of teachers, parents, businesses, and community members have produced human and financial resources that support the academic and social endeavors of Columbian School.

Thursday, October 23rd (noon to 7:00 p.m.)

Come to the book fair to see and purchase the books kids want to read!  This year we hope to reach a goal of $5,000 to give Mrs. Wellsandt and Mrs. Kelly a smart board for their classrooms!!!

Did You Know You Can Start Your Book Fair Shopping Early?


Our in-school Book Fair begins on October 22nd to October 23rd, but you can begin your book shopping now at the Online Book Fair. Visit the Book Fair Homepage at and click on the Shop Now button. Online shopping is available until Oct 31.


You can create wish lists and use eCards to invite friends and family to shop. Best of all, every purchase benefits our school and will help us achieve our Book Fair goal. All online orders ship for FREE to the school after the Online Fair has ended.

Author Aaron Reynolds Visits Columbian

Columbian was so lucky to have children's book author, AARON REYNOLDS, as our guest at Columbian on Tuesday, October 7th.  He is the author of Golden Sower nominated book Creepy Carrots, and the popular graphic novel series Joey Fly, Private Eye and Tiger Moth, Insect Ninja

WANTED:  Library Volunteers!

Mrs. Nicholson, Columbian's Librarian, is recruiting parent volunteers to assist during the school day in the library.  Just one hour, once per month, is the time commitment. Duties include shelving books, repairing damaged books, helping children check out & in, processing new materials, and general housekeeping tasks.  If you think it sounds like something you'd like to do, click here for a volunteer form and return it to Mrs. Nicholson.
