Legacy of Excellence Garden

Columbian’s brick garden, located on the south side of our main entrance,

is home to engraved bricks that honor past and present Columbian students, teachers,

families, and other loved ones.   We are asking Columbian families if you would like to

purchase a brick to commemorate your student’s time at Columbian.

Your brick will be stored in a safe place until the fall of 2019 when all of the bricks

– both old and new –will be combined to create our new Legacy of Excellence Garden.

If you would like to purchase a brick, please click here to complete the form.

The road to success is always under construction!

Columbian is Getting a New School Building!

The Columbian Elementary School scope of work from our latest Bond includes a complete replacement of the

existing school. Site prep will begin in November.  You will notice a construction fence on our playground and dirt trucks delivering dirt.

The actual construction of the building will begin in March of 2018.

The current building will be replaced with a new school on our existing site by July of 2019.

The Ed Spec process has begun with Schemmer Associates, our architect, and Jacobs leading the way!

The cafeteria now has computerized lunch account check

in system.  Please remember Columbian families are able to utilize the online payment system, known as

SchoolCafe, to view their student's purchase history and receive low balance alerts!  The system has been

available to prepay online and setup automatic payments, but now we have added additional features.  If you have any

questions about the system, please contact the Nutrition Services Office, 531-299-0230.  https://www.schoolcafe.com

In effort to curb bullying at Columbian Elementary there is a form that you may use when you see a bullying act.

School community members should report all incidents of bullying (verbally, in writing

and/or electronically), whether they personally observe incidents or are made aware of

them by some other means. Reporting by school community members should occur even if

the victim does not file a formal complaint, and even if the victim does not express any overt disapproval of the bullying behavior.

Columbian On-Line Meal Payments

Meal Application and Payment:

*Our Online Payment is known as SchoolCafe, we hope our families utilize this option to speed up the serving lines by eliminating cash or check payments when students purchase a meal.  Additionally, the  payments are secure and can be set-up to automatically add funds to the student's account each month.  The link is:  https://www.schoolcafe.com/

*The Online Meal Application is the quickest and easiest way for parents/guardians to apply for meal benefits!  Located at https://schoolmealapp.com the parent/guardian can register, sign-in, and complete a family application.  The application is reviewed and, depending on the information included, students can start receiving meal benefits the next day!

*Our Paper Meal Application is always available for families!  Click here to download a copy.
